There’s a production number set in a McDonald’s, and the alien lives on Coca-Cola. Cast includes Christine Ebersole, Jonathan Ward, Katrina Caspary, Lauren Stanley, and Jade Calegory. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: A kid’s musical in regards to a flying automobile is one wacky journey, with entirely forgettable score and some of the shoddiest visual effects ever. This is loosely based on novel by Ian Fleming. Cast includes Dick VanDyke, Sally Ann Howes, Lionel Jeffiies, Gert Frobe, Anna Quayle, and Benny Hill. (142 minutes,’68)

The Good Shepherd: Clutching tale of a spiritually censored youthful guy who is enlisted at Yale to do espionage work throughout WW2 and then to join the secret intelligence agency that would eventually become the CIA, even though it means an astronomical sacrifice to his family life. Damon is phenomenal and a well selected cast fills all the roles very well. Cast includes Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, Alec Baldwin, Tammy Blanchard, Billy Crudup, Robert De Niro, and John Turturro. (167 minutes, 2006)

Bellissima: Obvious drama in reference to pushy, pitying mom Magnani, infatuated to the point of hysteria with getting her cute, compliant little girl into films. The movie is loud while it should be delicate, and eventually grows tiresome. Cast includes Anna Magnani, Walter Chiari, Tina Apicella, Gastone Renzelli, and Alessandro Blasetti. (112 minutes,’52)

Shades of Fear: Flat, disheartening drama in reference to a youthful female Ayola who yearns to become a guide and the assorted characters that crosses her road as she cruises for England. The British version helped make it better. Cast includes Rakie Ayola, John Hurt, Jonathan Pryce, Vanessa Redgrave, and Dorothy Tutin. (92 minutes,’93)

Bed Book and Candle: A John Van Druten play turns into so-so platform to showcase Novak as a sorceress who charms soon to be married Manhattan publisher Stewart. Kovacs and Gingold show off their comedic capabilities. Cast includes James Stewart, Kim Novak, Jack Lemmon, Janice Rule, Ernie Kovacs, Hermione Gingold, and Elsa Lanchester. (103 minutes,’58)

Scrooged: A humorous take on the famous Dickens novel, A Christmas Carol. Set in modern times, Frank Cross runs a TV station, and doesn’t really appreciate the Christmas spirit. The three ghost of Christmas past, present and future join forces to set Frank straight.
