My Trip To The City That Never Sleeps

This past summer I had the opportunity to visit New York City several times. I have a friend who was working for an airline and was able to get free flights to New York. Well, as a true friend, I had to take advantage of this. Sometimes we would go over for the day or for the weekend.

We would have a lot of fun shopping since there were so many more stores there than what I would ever seen in my own town. We even began going to random restaurants and daring each other to try the most disgusting thing on the menu. After that, we would always go out and take advantage of the New York nightlife. There are so many bars and clubs that it was a new experience every night.

One night, though, we spotted a huge line outside a hotel. Curious, we asked someone in line what they were waiting for and they told us about the rooftop bar on top of the hotel. We hadn\’t ever tried something like that before, so we quickly got in line.

Once we were inside the club we headed out to the balcony and stood there in awe. North of us stood the empire state building, highlighting the incredible skyline. It was hard to believe we were actually three. This was easily going to be the best night of my life.

When you visit New York there are a lot of bars you could try out, but this rooftop bar was easily one of the best ones I had experienced. Between the atmosphere and the beautiful skyline this was a great evening that will be hard to replicate.

We tried out a few more rooftop bars after that, but none of them quite had the same view or feeling that the first one did. We really should have taken more pictures, though I think they have a photo gallery on their website. Of course, that will never do it justice.

Putting a bar on top of a building right in the heart of New York City was an incredible idea. The entire place was really nice. The place was clearly a hotspot, and everyone was dressed really nice. And then there were all the ladies that were completely gorgeous!

I\’ll never forget that trip to New York. It was only a shame that my friend wound up losing his free flight privileges, because that means I\’ll have to start saving my money if I want to make it back to that incredible rooftop bar.
