Most of us will definitely think that it’s very unusual for a person to be delighted with the lines that seemed to be endlessly coming out of her face due to aging. Who doesn’t want to stay beautiful anyway? Since we do not want to look old, then of course, we just do not like those fine lines to be resting on our face. With this new age where a pretty face is a big edge in almost everything, and with millions of beauty experts that are constantly finding solutions in keeping us look young and vibrant, you have no reason why you should let those wrinkles to come out.

Our forefathers, however, have their own opinions and accounts about those lines that rest on your face. In fact, even how they look, or how deep or how these wrinkles are laid on your forehead have different (and unusual) explanations, and definitely not because of aging, according to our old folks. For some inexplicable basis, our forefathers predict a woman’s destiny through the number of wrinkles present on her face, like how many husband she’ll have or how many children she’s going to bear. On one of the bestseller books written by the author Cora Linn Daniels, she told that those people having horizontal wrinkles on their forehead are more intelligent than the others. May she have a valid basis for that or not, surely her books are all well admired by her continuously growing followers.

Have you realized after all that even our old folks have made their own, simple, and sometimes strange ways just to keep those wrinkles from invading their faces? Some unusual beliefs like having their feet slightly elevated in comparison to their head is claimed to decrease the chances of developing wrinkles. Well, for some obvious reasons, none of those beliefs seem to work effectively after all.

Very few people on this universe can fully absorb and bear that beauty isn’t everything, and that aging is by all odds a fact of life that you must be courageous enough to face and accept. Yes you can do some treatments to diminish or even prevent those wrinkles to be visible on your face, but sooner or later, they will finally appear again and you cannot escape from them anymore.

Wrinkles are part of everyone’s life and although not everyone can accept it, ALL of us will have and experience it sooner or later, whether we like it or not. Wrinkles are, in fact, evidence of life. It shows the journey you have traveled since you were young to the present moment, the happiness you’ve felt, the sorrows you have suffered with, the achievements you’ve accomplished, and the struggles where you have been defeated. As you look at your wrinkles and reminisce over your past, the best thing to do is just smile and be thankful, because without those wrinkles, you could have not experienced all of those, and maybe you have died young.

Beauty fades over time. I envy and admire the elderly I meet, and have discovered that behind their facial lines are interesting stories. I hope to have lots of fantastic life experiences on the inside that will give me good wrinkles on the outside. Our real duty is to grow old gracefully. To do so is the true hallmark along the course of a full life, according to Amazing Kae in www.43Things.Com.
