Great Florida Vacation Spots for Romance
Romantic Florida vacation destinations are nestled around Florida, sometimes in the most remarkable places. Of course there are the time-honored beach sunrises and sunsets (very romantic if the beach is deserted), you may wish to think about some more unusual destinations. The kind that will make your beloved swoon and and declare you are the most romantic person who ever lived.
Night Lights
Consider some night lights. No, I’m not talking about the big city here. I’m talking about getting away from the crowds and the lights so that you can drink champagne and look at the night sky in all its splendor. And here’s a distinctive way to do this; rent a boat in the Florida Keys or Flamingo and put out to sea (so to speak) in Florida Bay. The water is peaceful and you can float away from the bright lights and stare up at the stars and the moon. And by the way, don’t forget to bring music!
Then There’s Lover’s Key
Lover’s Key is another place to take into account for a romantic getaway. It’s an island on Florida’s Southwest Gulf coast. The island was initially named such because one couldn’t get there from the mainland unless you had a boat. As a result, it was an, ahem, out-of-the-way location. Nowadays a road connects Lover’s Key to the mainland, but it’s still a romantic vacation spot. How about take the sunset eco-tour cruise and take pleasure in the sun’s final rays lingering on the horizon while you get a chance to see natural Florida. Or possibly you’d fancy the morning dolphin tour and shelling expedition?
Romantic Florida Wedding
Maybe a romantic Florida wedding is in your future? You might be considering the Florida Keys, or perchance one of the stunning tropical beaches? There’s something more remarkable to contemplate. It’s a South Seas wedding at Walt Disney World’s Polynesian resort. I know, Disney is a favorite of honeymooners, but one doesn’t usually think of it as being a romantic wedding place. For an extraordinary marriage ceremony event, think Cinderella’s Castle. In this fairy-tale setting, fireworks go off at your wedding kiss.
Resorts, Islands and Bed and Breakfasts
Daytona Beach has a few fascinating ideas for romance; one is The Shores Resort and Spa, where there are several couples-only packages. Revel in champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, a moonlight seaside walk, breakfast in bed and spa treatments as well.
There are bed and breakfasts situated round about Florida and quite a few have out of the ordinary packages designed for a amorous getaway. One private rendezvous spot is called Turtle Beach Inn. It’s appropriately situated on Florida’s “Forgotten Coast” — the area of Gulf coast from the Big Bend on the east to around Apalachicola on the west. This bed and breakfast is cozy and private, offering miles and miles of immaculate shoreline for your leisure.
Have you thought about a resort on its own island? Little Palm Island in the Florida Lower Keys is actually on its own island, with just 30 suites (28 are thatch-roof bungalows). Little Palm has a five-day romance package that would make anyone swoon, because of the champagne, chocolate-covered strawberries, a steaming bath with rose petals…you get the idea.
