How To Make Yourself Taller
Most people do not enjoy being short. Coming from a short family I can say this. The good news there is something that you can do about it. Through proper nutrition, exercises and healthy living your can increase your height at any age.
Exercise is one of the most important activities that you can do to help increase your height. The most important time that you should be exercises is during puberty. Doing strenght training with heavy weights is extremely beneficial. This help release growth hormones. These growth hormones stimulate the growth plates at the end of the bone. This can dramatically increase your height during these years. Once the growth plates fuse to bone after puberty they will never grow again. Exercise also strengthens your core (abs, lower back, etc…). This promotes good posture which will make you taller.
Watch out for scams saying that certain exercises or stretches can actually lengthen your bones after you completed puberty. With the exception of surgery this just cannot happen. If you have a clear understanding of how you grow this will make more sense.
When you are a baby you start out having many more bones that you do when you are an adult. If fact you have over one hundred more bones. These bones are typically made up of cartilage. As you grow older these bones fuse with other bones to make an adult bone. Most likely you have all your adult bones by the time you reach puberty. As I mentioned early, even though these are adult bones, you still have growth plates on the end of them. These growth plates will usually continue to grow until you are’ years old if you are a female and 21 if you are a male.
You need to make sure that you are still exercising after you are through puberty. As I said before posture imbalance can cause you to lose inches. But another great benefit is that it will actually make you look taller. Lean people give the appearance of being taller. We also want to make sure that our bones stay strong and healthy.
Eating right can drastically help you increase your height. Getting the right vitamins and minerals will not only help you during the growing years but will help as you get older maintaining your height. Make sure that you get plenty of calcium and amino acids. You also need to make sure that you eat enough calories with good proteins. This way you can be confident that you are doing everything you can to increase your height.
