Run If You See Petrolatum In Your Anti Wrinkle Cream

There are hundreds or perhaps even thousands of anti ageing products like anti aging moisturizers and anti wrinkle creams on the market and sadly most of them don’t work very well. However there is a more serious risk, lots of them contain chemical ingredients that could damage your health. A good example is a chemical ingredient called petrolatum.

Vaseline is pure petrolatum. It can also go by the name of petroleum jelly, petroleum wax, white petroleum or white petrolatum or other names. It is a petrochemical product which means that it is a byproduct of the distillation of crude oil.

And the companies that produce these products do not test for the presence of PAHs in their products and so you are unlikely to know if they are there. Even if they are it won’t say so on the label.

If petrolatum and PAHs pose a risk to your health why are they used in products such as skin care products, anti aging moisturizers and anti wrinkle creams? There is one simple answer. Petrolatum is incredibly cheap. The cheaper the ingredients the more profit they make on the products. The FDA isn’t required to find out whether any of these ingredients are in the products and they don’t. The anti aging companies are able to get away with it so they do.

There are some highly effective natural ingredients which are known to promote better skin health and which are extremely safe to use but these are rarely used in most mainstream anti aging products because they are much more expensive and therefore reduce profit margins.

But it is possible to get excellent anti wrinkle creams and other anti aging products which do use these ingredients. These products are safe and highly effective and of course they are also much more expensive to make. They would be uncompetitive to buy because of the price except for one thing. They are not advertised.

The companies that make them don’t advertise their products because they can’t afford to and so they rely on the slow growth of a dedicated group of loyal customers who use the products for life and the business grows in this way. But because they don’t advertise I can be sure you’ve never heard of these companies even though they make top shelf anti aging products.

So there is excellent news. There are highly effective skin care products such as anti wrinkle creams and anti aging moisturisers available to buy if you know where to get them. There is no petrolatum or PAHs in the products or any other chemical or petrochemical ingredients and they are extremely effective.
