The Thief of Bagdad: An extraordinary fantasy of local boy Sabu outdoing the sinister sorcerer Veidt in Arabian Days. The thief of Bagdad is a myth with remarkable resiliency. Danny Boy: An ambitious although arrogant, unrelentingly dull melodrama of sax player Rea, who trades his sax for a gun after observing a triple killing. This was Jordan’s directorial debut, which he additionally did the screenplay. He and leading guy Rea later reteamed for The Weeping Game. (92 minutes, 1982)
