What is Attraction Marketing

So I\’m guessing you\’ve either just started or looking around at a business in Direct Sales, Network Marketing or MLM.

What do you do now?

You may have been told to go and make lists of everyone you know, hassle your family and friends or open the phone book and start cold calling. Frankly, that\’s the best way to annoy everyone you know and get depressed about the whole thing really quickly. Attraction Marketing is the name of the game these days.

So, What is Attraction Marketing?

Well, as the name suggests, it\’s all about \”Attracting\” people to you.

Previously we were all told that everyone is a potential buyer. If you went to party make sure you took some business cards. Don\’t enjoy yourself, just spend the whole time hassling people who don\’t really care. It simply isn\’t true. The sooner you realise the happier your life will be.

You should only be talking to people who are actively looking for a home business or a change in their lives. Now imagine if you could do something that would get these people to contact you?

Attraction Marketing is all about putting yourself out on the web so that these types of people CAN find you.

Your aim is to put yourself out there and make yourself an expert on a topic of your choice. People will then find you and you will start the relationship by building trust and respect from them to you. They will then see you as someone who can help them gain the personal, financial, or time freedom they have been looking for.

They will then make first contact with YOU.

This instantly puts you in a position of power and control.

The person who makes the initial contact is always going to be in a weaker position. When someone contacts you first, it gives you a position of authority. Making your job much easier. No longer are you trying to convince anyone to join you and your company. You are now interviewing people to see if they are good enough to be a part of your team.

I\’m guessing you can instantly see the benefits of this.

It is only through providing great content that this will work.

A common mistake made at this point is that people get caught up in trying to make a sale. The key to this working is that the content you put out MUST enrich the lives of the people who are going to see it. Thus putting you in the position of the advisor. If you just put out thinly veiled sales pitches, people will see straight through it and you\’ll be back where you started.

\”But what if you\’re not an expert at anything?\” I hear you asking…

I gaurantee that you are.

Even if it is \”colour variations of Ford\’s between 1960-85\”; everyone is an expert at something. If you know more about something than most of your family and friends then this will be what you start with.

As you move along you will learn more and be able to provide better and more targeted content.

Now, go brew yourself a cup of tea, find somewhere quiet, get a blank piece of paper and a pen and start listing all the things you can share with the world.
